Can you please answer this physics question?

This is the hardest physics question that I can't get the answer to! Please Help?

  • ---Part A--- A cylindrical container with a cross-sectional area of 69.2 cm^2 holds a fluid of density 826 kg/m^3 . At the bottom of the container the pressure is 117 kPa. What is the depth of the volume? ---Part B--- Find the pressure at the bottom of the container after an additional 2.05E-3 m^3 of this fluid is added to the container. Assume that no fluid spills out of the container.

  • Answer:

Pressure = density x gravitational acceleration g x height. P=826 x 9.81 x h = 117000 Pa h=117000/(826 x 9.81) m Part B - work out the increase in height and then use the new height in the same equation. Volume = cross section area x height ( increase in height, in this case )
