No doctor can be certain without a biopsy, whatever they suspect, but urgent investigation is essential just in case. Breast cancer is horrible, but if detected early can be dealt with, I know a number of women who have survived it.

Ultrasounds are not reliable in diagnosing cancer. You need a mammogram or MRI, or a biopsy to reliably prove that it is or is not cancer. And I agree with Lindylou....find a new doctor. He sounds a little suspicious to me.

yes you should get a mri and a mamogram they biopsy it when you have surgery. it could also be a sist or a benign tumor. i would get a different doctor. this one sounds like he just wants to play "operation"
