That would be extremely embrassing It's a public pool! And in the summer, I swim everyday at my cousins house, what if it happens there. Please help?

It's unlikely to get your period when you're in water. Idk why but I've swimmed a bunch of times with my period and for some reason my period temporarily stops.
wear a tampon
Wait til your period arrives and ends. Periods are usually 28 days apart, although yours can be different obviously. If your so worried about it, let your body get used to a cycle so you can avoid being on your period when swimming :) someone here suggested tampons, which could be a good idea. However, i dont recommend starting to use tampons when your new to periods. They can be confusing and uncomfortable at first, so use pads. Considering you swim, eventually you will indeed need to use a tampon if you have to swim. But, wait a while, introduce yourself slowly to them :)
That's exactly what happened to me. In swimming class at my Jr-Sr High school, of all places. When you first start, it's not very heavy, and the pool water will wash any trace of it away. There is too much water in a pool for it to be noticeable. Most will wash away. There was just a tiny bit that accumulated in my swimsuit. I noticed it when changing back into my regular clothes, and of course, I wasn't prepared. Luckily it was my last class. I made the short bus ride home with no problem, and my Mom gave me a pad when I got home. You should never wear a tampon "just to be sure." If there is no blood, it will start absorbing the fluids you need down there. It's a myth that you can't get your period in water, or that it stops. I mean, think about it - why would being wet make a difference to your internal organs? I can only advise you to keep a pad or tampon with you, so you're prepared for when you get out. Relax, it really won't be a problem. >
Dont swim, wait till you get your first period, then you can swim, but dont swim during your period. Tell your mom about this
I'm not sure if this is true for everyone, but alot of my friends, and me, all got our periods at night. So you'll most likely get it when your sleeping, not swimming.
