How painful is labia surgery?

Has anyone ever had Labia surgery? =[?

• One of my inner labia lips is huge it hangs down 1 inch or more past my outer lips. The other side is fine however. I am 18 (UK) and to be honest i really don't care about how i look any more so am not asking for that reason. But the fact that it causes me A LOT of discomfort and pain! I am having to give up horse riding (which is basically my life and all i have..) but it's not just that, sitting down rubs it like crazy, walking rubs, moving at all rubs. It gets dry and very sore and every 1 mins i run to the bathroom to 'tuck it' inside. Has anyone had surgery to make the inner labia smaller? i heard that it is very painful but what sort of things does surgery involve and how long will i be unable to do normal things for (sitting down, exercise, horse riding e.t.c.) ?? Please help, i just want to cry all the time because i dont want to suffer like this every day!!

  See your GP. You might get it on the nhs due to your circumstances although I doubt it. On the nhs, their idea of big labia are like 2 inches + but it's worth a try. There are very mixed results with labia reduction so you would have to consider it carefully. Some people have absolutely no problem and they heal almost straight away, whereas others are left with certain issues. Maybe read about it on a forum such as makemeheal
