Is it common to get a period so quickly when starting metformin?

Is it unusual to not get a period the first month of starting birth control?

  • I'm already on the 4th pill, going on 5th, of the placebo pills, and have yet to get a period. I just started Kariva this month for the first time. I don't think I have a reason to think I'm pregnant since I didn't have sex during ovulation. I did the quick start method june 17th, i would have gotten my period on the 29th, but since i was on the pill I obviously didn't get it then. I had sex without a condom, just the pill, after 17 days of being on the pill, which my doctor told me should be safe because I would have already ovulated prior to starting the pill. I'm just worried because why is it taking so long to get my period! someone please help!

    i was on that for a while. since your body is getting used to it, it will make your period irregular for a little. just make sure to take the pills consistantly. but its normal for it to be off untill your body gets used to it being in your system.
