Arn't I supposed to get my period when I take the "sugar pills"?

Everyone's body is different. You should start your period when taking the placebo pill, if you don't it's ok too. Just keep taking your pill like normal. Remember DON'T have sex while taking the placebo if your not on your period, you could get pregnant.

Normally, when you first start taking a birth control pill, your body needs to start adjusting to the hormone levels it's being given. Depending on the person, it will normally take a few times, or packages, to get onto that proper cycle. I wouldn't expect to start as soon as you start taking them sugar pills. You'll probably start within a few days of starting those. As you continue using Yaz, and as your body adjusts to it, you'll notice your period cylce become more uniform. You'll eventually start like clockwork, and pretty much be able to know what day you'll start. Sometimes it takes until the end of the sugar pills for a woman to get her period, so yes it will come during the pink pills. It can take time for the bleed to regulate when a woman is taking the pill. Also, some women miss their bleed the first month. Also the above answer is wrong. You can have sex while taking the placebo. The pill is 99.9% effective at any time of the month.

I think it actually says in the little booklet that comes with it that you're supposed to start the third day after you take the last active pill. So around the third or fourth white pill. My first month on Yaz, I started before I took the white pills. Last month I started exactly as it described in the book. This month my period's going crazy, but I'm hoping that in a few months everything will smooth itself out.

Technically you do not have a period while on birth control pills....just w/drawal bleeding. When you take the pill it stops ovulation....and w/o ovulation there can be no period. There is really no need for breakthru bleeding or w/drawal period....just makes females feel better.....like they are more natural. Call a Family Planning Center and ask them to explain it to you. OR go see them....they will tell you exactly how it works. IF you haven't missed any pills....don't worry, you are not pg.

You said you just started taking it, correct? Well, birth control doesn't take effect for a few months, at least three. So your periods will still be wacky, and not the same as the pills for a little bit, so don't be worried.

i take trivora and i am on the sunday start thing and i start taking the non hormone pills on sunday and wednesday afternoon i start my period. so that's three days.

im not sure abouth that type of "pill" I know that with the one i take "levelen" i get my period on the third sugar pill.
