Birth control question?

• I currently took myself off of my birth control pill because when I started it a year and a half ago it caused me to gain weight i have tried three different brands of the pill and have not gained any weight other than when i first started but i have not been able to lose the weight that i gained when i first started before i was on birth control i was over weight for my height as it was and when i started birth control i gained another 30 pounds and i have tried every diet that usually works for me plus excersise too but i have not been able to drop the extra pounds i am miserable with my body weight so I took myself off of it hoping ill be able to drop the weight I gained when I first started it anyways I got put on birth control because I had really irregular periods and it was starting to cause me to have some problems so my doctor said I was gonna have to start taking birth control to make my periods regulate I stopped taking it after my period a month ago and I should've started my period last week and haven't yet since I took myself off could it have caused my periods to go back to being irregular??

  As long as there is a chance that you aren't pregnant then there should be nothing to worry about. After taking birth control for so long, your body has gotten used to it, but it doesn't take long to get back into it's old routine. If you were irregular before, you'll more than likely go back to being irregular. If you don't get it after 8 weeks, I'd see your doctor. Good luck!
