Does Birth Control make you cranky or moody forever?

Did birth control make my period longer?

• on sunday when i started my period i started birth control and took it at 10 pm.....i took it at 10 every day except on thursday and friday which i accidently took it 2 hrs late...12pm but on sat & sun i took it at 10pm...today it is monday! its been over a week since ive been on my period and going on longer...my periods are NEVER this long...they usually have a light flow the 1st day then medium the next two days then light the next day and a half. My period was light for a day then was medium and still is...ever since starting birth control loestrin 24 on the first day of my periiod (sunday) ive been on my period for 9 days n they always only last 5!!!! what is going on??? is it the birth control???i dont understand :( plz help...my doctor said birth control makes ur periods shorter n light? :/

  birth control has a different effect on everyone and it may be your bc making your cycle longer what you should do is call your dr and let him/her know that your period has been on for over a week maybe they can swith the bc you take since you think its making it longer
