Bleeding while on birth control?

A birth control that wont cause irregular bleeding?

  • i've tried a few options to no avail; first there was the depo shot, it appealed to me because im a forgetful person with taking things every day, so only once a month sounded like a dream. but it was a nightmare, bleeding constantly, mood swings, and depression soon followed. if it was from the drug or just not feeling sexy from all the bleeding it didnt matter, i couldnt stand it. stopped taking the shots. then i wanted Mirana, again the not-needing-to-remeber-every-day thing was perfect. but there were complications and we couldnt get it in. internal scarring or something. feeling down on my luck, i was ready to try anything different, and they suggested Implanon. implanon, they failed to tell me, is the same as depo. i started it 2 years ago and there have been some months where i dont stop bleeding for a LONG time, sometimes 2 months in a row. well these past three months have been the last straw; im in a happy relationship and unfortunately 3 months ago i started bleeding constantly again and its driving my bf and i INSANE. not really keen on giving it another year. so in short, i dont care how much i have to take something for how many days, i just want a birth control that wont cause all this break out bleeding constantly. whats the phrase? "i dont trust anything that bleeds for 5 days"? what about something that bleeds for 3 months???

  • Answer:

I have been taking birth control pills for a while now; mostly for irregularity and some acne issues. Currently I am on Levora, and its not a bad one, but if you don't take it everyday you can have mood swings and some irregularity. I have also had good luck with Ortho Tri-Cyclen low ... its has lower amounts of hormones in it, so it doesn't have as many crazy side effects, and if you only need it as a form of birth control, or if you are regular, its a really good option because it doesn't screw up your body too much, and if you forget to take a pill, it won't kill you.
