Bleeding after stopping birth control?
-
So, I've been on the birth control pill Jolessa for about six months, and I just stopped it on Tuesday because of the awful side effects. Then about five days later, I started bleeding. I had just had my period a few weeks ago when I was still on the birth control. Can bleeding occur after you stop taking birth control?

Answer:
Yes it can. BC pills alter your hormone levels, and a sudden drop, like when you stop taking the pill, can fool your body into an early period.
