Okay I just tried to order a pizza...I never ordered a pizza before my mom always orders it and we really dont eat pizza often. So with anything i do i like to be prepared so i made sure i had all the info they should need. So i call and they put me on hold so finally a guy picks up Me- Hi i would like to order two large pizzas Pizza Guy- Okay is the for Delivery or Carryout Me- Delivery Pizza Guy- What your name Me- (My name) P.Guy- Okay so whats your street address Me- 123 Pilsberry Lane (fake address) So i tell him my address and he's making it seem like im telling him the wrong thing. So he's like 'your street address?" So i say "Um it's near the mall" because i really dont know what he's trying to ask...so i say " lol im sorry i dont know, i'll call you back." He laughs and says okay. So just to make sure i text my mom and tell her what happend and ask whats our street address and she tells "123 Pillsberry Lane", so i what i told the pizza guy was correct. I just wanna makes sure that what i was telling him was correct, because i know i have my slow moments but im not that slow lol..i feel so embrassed right now. Please no negative comments thank you!

Answer:
He was double-checking to see if you'd give the same address b/c you sound young and unsure of yourself. He probably believes you are prank calling w/a friend. SO....call back and be serious and if he asks the same question again, give the same, correct answer. Make sure to give him the phone number you are calling from when he asks for phone number b/c they have caller id and if you give some other number, he will think you are pranking for sure. If he still doesn't believe you are ordering for real, have your mom call.

I find that most pizza phone-order takers think they are very funny guys. They're aren't. Could it be that when you gave him your address, you didn't enunciate clearly? Try again. Speak very clearly. Even spell it, if need be. But don't say "It's near the mall". Instead say, firmly, "That is where I live". If he still gives you flack, ask to speak to the manager. Edit: My pizza places file by phone number, which then shows name and address. Perhaps when your mom called in the order, she gave her name. Ask her, an d then use the info SHE gave them.

Maybe he didn't hear you correctly and just wanted you to repeat it. Sometimes they have a name or phone number in the computer and if you share a name with someone else he may have wondered why the address was different. Anyway, never mind. They get all sorts of calls. For a while we were known, unbeknownst to us, as the "house where you deliver over the fence!" In the summer we would meet them on our car port, and pay them over the short chain link fence, since we had 4 dogs in the house. We opened the front door once and startled them! The were waiting at the fence!
