Why would a recruiter say they want you to come in for an interview and then never schedule it?
-
I had a phone interview with a major company. After not hearing back from the head recruiter for about a week, I finally received an email saying they want to include me in a group of candidates to be brought in for an interview over the next 2 weeks and if I was still interested, which I told her I was. 2 weeks have gone by and I haven't heard from her about scheduling that interview. Why would someone say they want you to come in for an interview and then never schedule it? :(

Answer:
This could be an oversight on their part. It could also be a test of your initiative. You need to phone back and see when you should come in.
