What does Freedom and being American mean?

  • Hi I have to write a 1000-2000 word essay about what freedom and being American means to me. I have some really good things i want to add in my paper. I just need some help. I want to write about the good things about freedom and also the bad things about it. Things like how our freedom is not so free... How we are being prosecute for saying things about the government and president. I also want to include in my paper the good and bad things about being an American. Can someone please help me out I need it by Monday, Thanks

    Well America is not really free now is it? Criminals are locked behind bars, maybe for life. They'll never get to see their family, and what if it is just because they happened to be walking by the scene, or that they were a passenger in the car of the murderer, but didn't know a thing about what went on? What's worse is that lots of criminals are unjustly prosecuted for crimes that they didn't commit, and that others buy their way out with money. Freedom means to have anything you want without consequence or worry. Everything comes at a price, whether it be money, food, or sacrifice.
