I have a very urgent question! PLEASE HELP!?

  • Hi everyone! I have a test tomorrow in social studies. I don't really understand this essay question: "Explain how the voyages of columbus and the columbian exchange marked a turning point in the history of the americas" She gave us the essay question ahead of time so we could get a good grade on the essay. PLEASE ANSWER! I NEED YOUR HELP! Thank you! :)

Although Columbus was not the first person to travel to the Americas his "discovery" of the New World marked the beginning of European interest and subsequent emigration, settlement and conquest. Before that the Native Americans had been living their traditional lifestyle for thousands of years. You would need to research the Columbian exchange in books or on the Internet to answer this question fully. I think you have left it too late to get good grades on this. It is no good putting off the difficult work until the last minute.

it marked the turning point cuz they discovered america, the vikings technichally discovered america but left...well nobody knows for sure the first people who came....anyways the spanish started missions there and it started new motives for exploration im guessing ur in 7th grade...?im in eigth...i know this isnt entirely an essay and this might not be the information u need, but i hope it'll get u to start thinking and maybe it will be easier hope i helped(:
