Valentyn Moroz once said that Canada is probably the freest country in the world where a man still has room to breathe, to spread out, to move forward, to move out, an open country with an open frontier. Canada has created harmony and cooperation among ethnic groups, and it must take this experience to the world because there is yet to be such an example of harmony and cooperation among ethnic groups. This statement briefly explains our values and the greatness about Canada and Canadians. It shows our generosity and our welcoming of other ethnic groups. Hello, my name is ( my name ) and I am from ( school name ) school. In my speech, I will focus on three Canadian values. Our love and want for peace in other countries and here and that we actually implement it. For example, in the recent uprising in Libya their dictator reacted, by killing his own civilians. Canada reacted by making a no fly zone over Libya and protected the civilians. In addition, our peace and love makes us generous to other countries when a disaster happens or just to civilians. Like in the recent earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear explosion in Japan we donated through Red Cross 5 million dollars and this is only from Red Cross there is also other organizations that people donate from. We are known to be fair to our civilians and are known to protect them that’s why we have free health care system, free education and many other free things. We are also generous to immigrants; we welcome them and help them in exploring this amazing place. The best way to explain this is through this quote by Peter Stoffer in which he said That if you look at the history -- the aboriginal people welcomed the first settlers here with open arms, fed us and took care of us ... that continues today, we welcome people from all nations to come in and share. Due to the facts that were generous, we also have freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of expressing our opinions, freedom of going where we want to, and many other ways we can be free. The best way to express the freedom we have in Canada is through this quote by John Diefenbaker: I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind. So what do Canadians values mean to me? It means I can be free, I know I can be safe, and I know I am surrounded with people I can trust. I hope you enjoyed my speech thank you and have a good day.
