Is "released from customs" the last step in shipping?

Receiving Intl Shipping Packages from Customs?

  • I had a package come in from China using EMS shipping. It is clothing. It was handed over to customs in San Francisco which is 600miles away from me yesterday. It was released from customs at 6:50am. With my tracking number I haven't had any updates in 16 hours. Do you think I will received my package tomorrow?

  • Answer:

The 'release' from Customs is often deceiving. It does not mean it has 'shipped.' Keep watching the site until you see scans showing actual shipping.
