Can I return items like this to Walmart?

  • I want to get something special for someone I like. But, the problem is that I work for my dad and he won't give me the money upfront. Instead, because he doesn't trust me, he keeps an "account" of money. So whenever I want to buy something, I just tell him and he will get it for me. So here's my plan as to how I think I can get the money. I'll take advantage of the Walmart no-receipt return policy. If I buy something under $25, I can return it without a receipt to Walmart and I can get cash back. I can do this up to three times and I need $200. So I will need to buy eight $25 items and return them. Couldn't I just get myself and two other friends to individually return three (or two) items at a time? I would just need to make sure they all have their own ID's. Also, does it matter whether or not my parents used a card? For example, they buy something under $25 with a card and then I use the no-receipt thing to return it for cash? It's not like they will know because only the receipt will tell them if a card was used. Will this work? Thanks.

Cash is returned when paid with cash..Credit cards give a credit return to the card holders account. With this being said....Your Dad needs to see a change in you. Can you meet the chalange? Trust is something you earn , and according to your plan, you are a poor example of a trustworthy daughter.....Shame on you ..................

Sorry, this is fraud and Walmarts computers track returns. They will deny them to people (like you) who abuse the system. Without a receipt you won't get cash back anyway.

Wal mart is usually pretty good on accepting returns. But without a box or a receipt they may not. If they do it will only be for an in store credit.
