Who do I call about my interview status?

Post-Interview tactics? Should I send 'thank you' letter #2?

• I've got a few questions. Here's my situation: I had an interview at Trader Joe's last Friday that lasted an hour. The interview went smoothly, and it really felt like they were going to hire me. I sent a 'thank you' letter on Saturday and during the interview they said they would call on Sunday if anything. They didn't call. I decided to call them on Monday to check-up on it, and they said they're still doing interviews. I really want this job in particular because Trader Joe's looks like a great place to work; and also, I haven't been able to land any other interviews in a while. I have 1 year of supermarket exp and 1 year pizza place exp. Could it be that they're being overly picky? Will they throw away ALL consideration for me if some 30 year-old old guy gets an interview and has like 10 years of supermarket exp? (Maybe they're ageist or something, because I look really young even though I'm 20). Anyway, I called on Monday and Tuesday (today). The associate said they'd leave a note for the boss; however I still haven't received a call or answer as to when the position will be filled. Am I being a pest or coming off as desperate? How persistent should I be when it comes to checking up on the status of this position? Should I send a another 'thank you' letter, again stating my interest in the job? Or should I just leave them alone for a week and hope that they call back? Thanks for answering! I really appreciate it.
