Do I call for an interview or wait to receive a call?

Hi :) So a few days I applied for a part time job at Target since it's close to my house and I'm still attending school. But anyways, all of my friends are saying I should call the manager and annoy them for an interview... I feel like that isn't the best thing to do. I honestly don't know if I should call them and ask for an interview or not. If I do have to call, what do I say? &If I do get an interview, would bringing in my resume increase my chance of getting hired?

Wait about 5 days after you turned in the application. Then call personnel to inquire whether you are still being considered and let them know you are still very interested in the job.
