Why do 7-Eleven use lowercase letter "n" for the logo?

Can I use a company's logo to create a product to sell to them?

  • I am in the process of starting up a small business making personalized bar coasters that I want to sell to individual bars/breweries. Is it legal to use their logo on the coaster so that they can see the product that they may want to buy? Or do I need their permission to use the logo in the first place? Is using the logo without their permission infringement...I feel that it is. If they decide not to buy the product, I was going to give them the one that I already created, since it has their logo on it, but I dont want to worry about any infringement issues. I may have to just use a sample coaster to show them, but it would look so much better pitching the idea with their actual business on it. I am going to sit down with a lawyer next week, but I figured I'd throw the question out there now. If you can help I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!
