Best way to hold a raffle?

Hi everyone, Im wanting to hold a raffle to sell some electronics and homewares. Just wondering how do i go about it? i would buy the raffle tickets at my local newsagent and distribute the tickets to random houses. Would i have to make sort of like a flier to show them the date and time phone number details etc etc? are there any laws or permits i need to get so i dont get in any legal trouble? I live in Sydney,oz
