How to feature an item on eBay?

EBay problem...item removed after I paid?

  • I have never used ebay before this so I am kinda lost... I just bought an item yesterday using the Buy Now feature, not through bidding. I paid via Paypal right after I won. I went back on today to check if it said how long the shipping will take, and now the item is nowhere to be found on My eBay. Instead, I received a message saying that the item was removed and all bids were canceled. Does that mean that I won't receive the item? I already paid for it...will I get a refund? Or does that just mean that since I bought it, the listing is no longer there? Any help would be good

    Does the item still show under your Items Won list? If so, click on the drop-down menu and click File An Item Not Received Dispute. (Or go to Help, A-Z, I, Item Not Received). File the dispute, it will kick you over to Paypal. State in the dispute that the item has been removed by eBay, and immediately escalate the dispute to a claim. You should get your money back in 10 days - 2 weeks. The item was removed by eBay because of a violation of some sort, either a stolen account, counterfeit item, bad seller, etc.

It could be that it was removed because you purchased it all though I have never seen that happen. Have you tried contacting the seller?

check you paypal acct - see if the money was subtracted - contact Paypal if it is not returned

Just be thankful you didn't pay for it and then have the seller disappear. That happened to my son a few years ago. We sent the money, before we knew enough to read reviews. When you buy or plan to buy something from ebay, make sure you click on the person selling the item, and read the reviews other buys have written. Watch for antoher seller of the same item, and try again. Good luck!
