How long does USPS take to deliver a package?

How long does it take for USPS to deliver an international sent package from New York to Los Angeles?

• I sent a package with (Priority Mail International) from Istanbul, Turkey to my friend in Los Angeles, CA. I checked on USPS's web site, my package was delivered to ISC New York on January 10. Status is still: "Inbound International Arrival" When do you think the package will reach my friend? What should I expect to see on USPS's Track & Confirm page (meaning, will it say anything like "On the way to California." or will directly pass to "Package was delivered the recipient."?) Thanks. :-)

  You will see it along the way by going on the computer to track it. If ISC NY meant it was IN NY already, then I would say 1 day --90% of the time.
