What exactly is revenue?

  • Answer:

Revenue is the total ammount of money that a company brings in, before deducting costs and other bills. If my company sells 10 million dollars worth of products, my revenue for that year is 10 million, but if my costs for buying the products, renting a place to sell them, electricity, etc. totaled to 4 million; 10 million would still be my revenue but 6 million would be my profit.
