Can I get pokemon games on my DS XL?

  • I want the pokemon leaf green or fire red version for the DS XL but I heard it isn't available? If it isn't, then what games do you suggest me to get? Please no weirdo pokemon games that have crappy stuff. I like the good old leaf green and fire red. Or the games with the hoenn region is fine too. Just tell me if there are pokemon games available for DS XL. XD

DS i XL's do not have a GB (Game Boy) slot in it, therefore only DS games will work on the DS i XL. All DS Pokemon games will work on the DS i XL but games such as Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen and FireRed will not work but Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 will. To play Game Boy Advanced games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen and/or FireRed you can buy a DS Lite or a Game Boy Advance. For Game Boy Colour games (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal) need to be played on a Game Boy Colour ONLY! Hope I helped :)

Nope, The only Pokemon games for it are diamond, pearl platinum, heart gold, soul silver, black, white and a remake of both black and white coming son Although you can play GB and GBC games if you have something called an R4 You can play GB, GBC and GBA if you have something called iPlayer R4 and iPlayer are two things where you download games off the internet, put them on a Micro SD and put them on the special DS cartridge they come with. This is against the law however. But they probably going to do remakes of Ruby Sapphire and Emerald .
