Which Capture Card Should I Get?

  • Hey well i want to get some type of capture card. I am a gamer on xbox 360 who normally plays Mw2 and trickshots. So i want a good one so i could start recording myself. The thing is though, i am afraid to get an HD Pvr. The reason is i would have no clue about recording. I am sure i could follow a tut on how set it all up and start recording, but i have no experience whatsoever in capture cards. I wouldnt know the first thing to editing or anything like that. So what do you think? Should I Go with the Pvr and see if i can get everything good, or start off with maybe a Dazzle and get an HD Pvr later?? Like by christmas? I have a choice now if i want the Pvr i can get it. If not i have to wait quite a while. So what do you guys think?? What should i get?

    Start with dazzle. It's actually pretty good and comes with editing program. Get the WHITE ONE for recording. :D

Black Magic is the Best Then HD Pvr Then Dazzle Go with HD PVR or Black Magic. Black Magic is better but just a little bit more expensive

I've been recording gameplay for 2 years now. I went from the Dazzle to my current capture card, the Dazzle. Do NOT buy the HD PVR, despite its great quality, it is very large, and complicating to setup and understand for a begginner. I bought a Dazzle for $55 at my local Electronics store, and you can probably get one for around $60. But I reccomend a Roxio Capture Card over a Dazzle, because it let's you play in full HD on your TV and records in a little bit better quality than the Dazzle. It also comes with a easy to use recording setup, and a complimentary free editing program.
