Can't play the Sims 2 University Life with the Sims 2 Apartment Life disk?

I just installed the Sims 2, Sims 2 University and Sims 2 Apartment Life. I've had problems with this before and Apartment Life was the last expansion I installed. I was told I could play with the last disk installed, but that's not the case. Is there a way to play University Life, without having to use the disk?

Installation order doesn't really matter on the Sims 2. Actual release date does. University Life came out after Apartment Life so you have to run the game from that disk.
