Company Of Heroes Patching Question....?
-
I currently have Company Of Heroes Ok, here's my question: How do I patch this game properly? I mean I know how to patch, its just that I went to this official patching site (i think): http://cohpatch.relic.com As you can see in that site, there are numerous patches for COH, about 10 different patches. I do know that I have version 1.0 by default. So then I downloaded the first patch (1.00-1.40). So here's the problem: what do i do next after downloading the patch (1.0-1.40)? do I have to download all 10 patches and install them all? because I dont know what order to follow. I mean, after i download the patch (1.00-1.40), should i download the second patch (1.20-1.40) OR download the "next" patch (1.40-2.101)? Because if i download the "next" patch, would i miss some features from other patch versions like v.1.20, 1.30, 1.50, 1.51, 1.60, 1.61, 1.70, and 1.71??? Or are they already included in the patch (1.40-2.101) that im going to download? I'm kind of confused... So I would really appreciate some help. Advanced Thanks to all! :) If you somehow dont understand my question, just leave a comment and ill try to answer it. Thanks

Answer:
Up to a certain point, you have to manually install. After awhile though, it allows you to use the "Relic Downloader" which automatically downloads the patches through trying to login to multiplayer. Unfortunately, Relic is one of the worst game developers in existence. It is a company horribly unsupportive and barbaric in their games. Because of this, it will take you several hours just to patch to the latest patch, because they force you to patch each one, one at a time, and they take forever even on a fast computer. Good luck... P.S. goto gamefront, and find your current version, and each patch should say something like patch 1.40 to 2.101 then you patch 2.101 to ###### and go until you're done. It sucks. It takes hours. Don't support Relic games. Email them and let them know how awful their support and game design is with Patching, Multiplayer, and DRM.
