How to mod my psp? I already have a pandora battery.?

I've been going nuts to exactly know what to do. I currently have a psp 3.95 and a pandora battery that I got from pandorabaterybuy.com. how can I mod my psp? the battery came with a memory stick but when its in the psp, it says "unknown", i take it thats a bad thing? the website said that i would have sent me a memory stick with the files preloaded, but they didnt. so what exactly do i need to do? -- thanks for your time.
