Is there any way to speed up torrent download?

Does anyone know a very fast torrent that I can download the Sims 2 from?

  • I purchased the Sims 2 for my PC and the disk was scratched when I got it and the download kept stopping around 60%. I took the disk to have it repaired and I wasted money on repairs only to still have the same problem. Considering I already purchased the game, downloading it from a torrent would not be illegal considering the issue on my part. I tried utorrent but utorrent is way way too slow. It was 25 minutes before I saw it go from 0.0% to 0.1% which is ridiculous. If anyone knows of a faster torrent or of a way I can speed up the current torrent I am using, please help lol.

  • Answer:

Under NO circimstances are torrents EVER legal. They are illegal, were illegal, and always will be illegal. Its getteng free copies of copyrighted products. Or in other words, piracy. When downloading torrents, you're breaking the law. Your computer can be tracked, and you can be sued. NEVER use torrents. EVER. period. If your copy of the CD is still covered under the warranty, you can contact EA Games at www.thesims2.com and tell them what happened. They should send you a new copy. If not under warranty, you should still contact EA Games to make sure 1) its not under warranty (it still might be); and 2) they can't do anything. If they can do something, go with it. If not, you can buy a new copy. If a new copy isn't availible at a store near you, I'd suggest looking on eBay.com or Amazon.com. There's a ton of them out there.
