How do I delete my saved cod4 data from my xbox 360?

I need to start over to get the intel achievement... but when i delete the saved games file and go back to the game, its like nothing happened. I still have everything (campaign is beaten, arcade mode unlocked). I turned my xbox off and back on, went to settings, and my saved file was back! it doesnt matter how many times i repeat the process.... the data always comes back like i never erased the file. I REALLY WANT THIS ACHIEVEMENT ITS THE LAST ONE LEFT TO GET ON THIS GAME!!! Ive gone to storage settings and deleted the file probably 5 times by now but when i get back into the game the file is still there. intel is picked up, campaign is beaten, mile high club beaten, everything... but then when i go back to storage settings, the file is gone. it seems like the file comes back every time i turn my xbox on. it doesnt make any sense. is anyone else having a problem like this?
Answer:

Click the Xbox Guide and scroll over to Settings. Go to System Settings and go to Storage. Find the game and delete it's data. Note: this won't delete any LIVE rankings for CoD 4.
