What can be wrong with my xbox 360?

I have an xbox 360 but I have a mac computer so I can't go onto xbox live or maybe I'm wrong but I need your?

    You don't have to hook the xbox up to your computer. All you have to do is connect the modem to the xbox. Just use a standard ethernet cable (looks like a fat phone cord) and plug the xbox directly into the modem. The ethernet cord shouldn't be more than $20.
