If you have your 360 connected to a router, make sure you call the company the router is made by and have them open your gaming ports. It also wouldn't hurt to call your internet provider because they can help make sure your Xbox 360 and your service are communicating properly. I'm no expert but you have have to make sure the IP addresses match up. From what I've experienced the DNS shouldn't matter.
