Can you go on the internet on a PSP without it being hooked up to a computer?

Yes, you don't actually have to be connected to a computer, but you have to be able to get a wifi connection and like the first guy said, it goes awfully slow. It's not even worth the time and trouble.

Hold on to your underpants cause this is going to be a long question. Don't mind spelling errors. All you need foe free internet is a networker.(look up at Target/Walmart (.com). This allow you for free internet and other PSP abilities. Hook the networker on ur computer and this will now get ur own signal. But, the only thing is that u can only go to ur internet at ur area. dont ask why. if u lack money their will be internet at local places like mall and the macdonalds. sometime when u r like across the street of ur house u can still get a connection but low signal and very slow. i advise you to get a laptop becuase it has a portable keyboard unlike the psp. the internet is exactly like internet on ur com. but no keybard and ect. dowload stuff to watch vids on u tube. ps very hard to type. now 4 the question in order no yes/no the psp desnt but the networker only in ur area details r shown above

It needs to be picking up a wireless Wi-Fi signal. Many households now get internet this way. Many restaurants and hotels also have free Wi-Fi available. It does not cost any extra money. Nothing has to be plugged in, that's the point of WiFi. Yes. You usually won't be able to watch videos or play online games.

you do have to have a wifi hot spot. i have a psp-2000 and at coffee shops it works pretty good the psp dose not have a lot of "RAM" so some pages it has trouble with but all and all i like it
