Where do you put custom content in Sims 2 Double Delux?

Why won't Sims 2 work with custom content?

  • I used to own a desktop computer that I played Sims 2 on, then I got a Windows 7 laptop. I put the custom content I had from the desktop into a folder then on a flash drive. When I tried installing my game it wouldn't work on the laptop so I bought a new one yesterday. It installed fine and I was able to play it without any downloaded content. Then I put the custom content in the Collections and Downloads folder because on the desktop those were the two folders the content worked in. So I played it and when it got to the loading screen nothing happened. I would literally have it sit for three hours and it wouldn't load at all. I tried taking the content out of the Collections folder and it still wouldn't work. Can someone tell me how I can get my game to work again, but still have the custom content?

  • Answer:
