Questions about the nintendo DS?

Okay, so you and your Girlfriend are buying Ds's hmm... okay. 1. If your saying online as in your going to browse the internet. No. There isn't. But it is Free. Wifi. Wifi for the DS has always been free. But if you play like outside starbucks or something, then they will charge you I believe. 2.Yes and No. It depends on your Wireless internet. I believe the newer Wireless Internet boxes say on the box that it came in wether its WiFi compatible. But really most of them work. Mine myself is pretty old and it works fine. 3. Ooo The Linking. Okay when you get your DS there with be a + of options. Meaning. You will have your DS game on top. Your Nintendo game on bottom and your PICTOCHAT on the left and your GAME LINKING on the right so it forms a +. There is actually a lot of games that do this. ONLY downfall about mario cart. Is if you were to only have the game, and you both played. She would have a set character, and wouldn't be able to pick anything special. You control everything else as in the stage to play on and all that. But regardless it is another way. Mario Cart Linking: How it works is pretty simple as for all games. You hit "Multiplayer" and there should be a "Download Play" on HER DS menu. She hits that. You wait a few seconds and your ds's should make a sound verifying the link. Then you just start your game. Simple as that. DSI's are kinda cool. I perfer the DS LITE. Since thats what I have. But Congratulations on the DS purchase and hope you guys have fun. EDIT: I am not sure if the "Download Play" works Via WiFi. However I know it works if she is like... 10 feet away. I've always just had the game and went WiFi with it. Like Animal Crossings. Not quite sure. Oh and Animal Crossings is a good game to get for first time Ds'ers . Fun, addictive. Anyways Good Luck.

1.Yes the DS has totally free online. 2. Yes as long as you know how to connect it right. 3. Yes however only certain games can do this.(Look at the back of their boxes) Another game that can do this is mario kart. Hope this helps.

Yes 2.yes it is or it could be your friends house or somehwere with a wi-fi access points sometimes mcdonald 3.Certain games such as mario party , mario kart ,mario olympic games and others you have to play ds play to do that Yes the ds do these thing DSI is just have a new camera in it and you can do things but you cannot play GBA games whch has no slot and it is not worth buying it just a console and a camera.!

If you buy mario party Ds, you can go to multiplayer, and you and your gf can play party mode. (She has to go to DS download play). Yes, you can play with 1 game but things will be limited as all the single player things will be blocked out, but mostly everything on Mario Party DS is multiplayer.

ok yes i have a ds and for the first question yes the online is free for a nintendo ds wich means online play is free but you do have to pay for the internet wich you probably have and if not just go to mcdonalds or somthing. yes it is accessible with wirless in your house even at some restarunts and hotels. yes you can its called download play all you have to do is one person has the card then goes into the game and in multiplayer select single card play then the other person on the home screen of the ds needs to select the download play wich is on the right then it will search for players wirlessly and then you select wich one you want to play it will then start to downlaod the game (when you turn off your system that data gets wiped and you have to do it again) some games you do have to have 2 cards for though so just look at the back and it should say on the back of the case.
