Xbox 360 no doubt. It has waaaaaay waaaay waaaay better online even tho u have to pay for it. Ps3's online is shitty, its free but u get what u pay for.

Xbox has more exciting games now that kinect is out and also has much better online but ps3 has more deals cheaper online and better graphics so it depends on what your looking for Hope this helped:)
I used to be a loyal user of the Playstation 3, I've owned mine since 2006 when they came out. I never played a Xbox until I met my first college dorm roommate who had a Xbox. Then when I moved into my current house there was my PS3 and 3 Xbox 360's. Personally, I love my PS3 for single player games, sport games, and low impact multi-player games. Such as Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Batman Arkham Asylum, Red Dead Redemption, Madden, Fallout New Vegas, and Civilization V to name a few. But I can't stand shooting games or highly competitive online worlds on my PS3. Like Call of Duty. I traded in my Modern Warfare 2 game for PS3 in for a Xbox live account on my roommates Xbox. I rarely go a couple of days without playing it! 10 prestiges later I finally bought a Xbox. So overall, I can't choose between which is better. I'm just sticking with owning both.
xbox 360 has better games (in my opinion) but there is a noticeable difference in online play. ps3 online play is free but it is not as good due to some latency issues (i have experienced them). but overall it comes down to personal preferance
I personally prefer the PS3...I've always been a Sony person when it comes to video gaming.
IMO, the Xbox has a better community and online system and also a much nicer range of games. The PS3 has much better performance though, especially graphics and obviously the online is free which is a big plus. Personally I have an Xbox because I can't give up Splinter Cell, but if it wasn't for the excellent games and community on Xbox I'd get a Playstation. Life is Peachy. =D
