What accessories does the Xbox 360 need?

Should I ask for a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 for Christmas?

  • I'm not trying to start a console war on here, I just want to know what you think. Let me know what system you have and why you think which one is better than the other. Especially comparison's would be great. Things to talk about: -Games -Other uses -Reliability -Cost -anything else, such as additional costs and accessories. I've been leaning towards the PS3 because I'm about to go to college and I need a blu ray player, so I thought it would be more practical. And I've always been a Sony person, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy the Xbox. I eventually think that I will own both, but which one should I get for now? I heard about project natal, is this something I should consider in my decision? I've never really played that much online, but its something I would be willing to start doing. I already own a wii, and I'm honestly just tired of it, at this point it's just collecting dust :/ Xbox 360 Elite or Pro version (not the arcade one...eek!) vs. Playstation 3 Slim 120gb or 250gb (they just announced the 250 one) Thanks! :)

    If you say you're a Sony person, get the Sony. You'd get the Blu-ray player, and the mad awesome graphics. The Xbox is nice, too. But I have to say that they have issues... my boyfriend just bought his SEVENTH Xbox 360, because they just keep on crapping out on him. And he's not the only persons I know to have had this problem.

If you say you're a Sony person, get the Sony. You'd get the Blu-ray player, and the mad awesome graphics. The Xbox is nice, too. But I have to say that they have issues... my boyfriend just bought his SEVENTH Xbox 360, because they just keep on crapping out on him. xbox 360! PS3 is fun and all but the xbox 360 has a LOT more stuff to do online! yes, it costs money to play online with the xbox 360 unlike the PS3 but there are a lot more cool games for the xbox 360! and the PS3 is more expensive and so is all its stuff! and more people play the xbox 360 so there's more people to play online with!

I face the same dilemma as you....I have recently purchased an X-Box 360 a little over a month ago and I love it...However, I have never played the PS3, so for Christmas, I am going to get the Playstation so I can have a little bit of diversity in my game play...as far as I'm concerned, all X-Box wants is your money. They want you to spend your money on all these various on line memberships and so forth, download additional content for the game you've recently purchased, and basically bleed you for all you have. The wise choice will be to purchase both so you wont have to be beholden to just one system.

Xbox 360 Pros aren't even made any more by the way. Ask for a PS3 though, even though Xbox has some awesome exclusives (Mass Effect), they break too much, even after they "fixed the problem". The PS3 will be getting a stronger library of exclusives and many of the "awesome" games for Xbox are also on PS3. Also PS3 has free online and Xbox costs a fee.

probably a 360 because the ps3 has a small amount of games. blu-ray discs are also very low.

Alright i have a ps3 slim i love it but my friends has a Xbox 360. The thing is Xbox is as good as its going to get for now so this leaves the door open for Sony to see what Xbox have done and take it to the next level. Xbox 360: Pros- Cool Home Screen, More exclusive Games, Cooler Controller, Changeable Skins, Better online gaming and Twitter facebook and more ( like the wii). Cons - Pay for online gaming, No in built internet that you can just hook up, unable to add extra disk space to make more gb, Not as good graffics, Tends to over heat some times, No blue ray. PS3 Slim: Pros- Game library expanding, Easy home screen, Blue Ray, Free online gaming, Free internet, Rechargeable Remote, Bluetooth, Better graffics (that is why they are on Blue ray disks more to fit on), Slowly better gaming experience, Added extras, flash drive to watch downloaded movies, memory expansion and Cool avatars. Cons- Less games, Not as cool controller, not as good gaming experience right now, not many updates and gets dusty after 5 weeks.
