Where can I find pc games from previous years?

PC Games recommendations?

  • On Friday I am picking up my new custom computer from Frys. I've been waiting two years to build it and its almost time. It's purpose is going to be for college,as I am a year away from that, but I'm also a gamer. I have been using an ASUS notebook for all my PC gaming needs but it hasn't really been very admirable performance wise. Anyhow, I am trying to think of a game to first purchase that will serve as a good benchmark and also a really fantastic game that I can come back to whenever and always find it fun. I am NOT a fan of fps's but anything else is welcomed. If you have any suggestions for any games, I'd love to hear them

  • Answer:

Well Crysis is more or less THE benchmark game. Other than that you can try stuff like Just Cause 2, Skyrim, and maybe Mass Effect 2. FPSs usually have the best graphics though so that's where the real benchmarkers would be. Just go on steam and try some of the newest demos, I'm sure at least one of them will satisfy you.

The elder scrolls V - Skyrim

The Elders Scroll V: Skyrim - First/Thrid Person RPG Witcher 2 - Thrid Person RPG Batman: Arkham Asylum/City - Third Person Action/Stealth Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood/Revelations - Third Person Action/Stealth Starcraft 2 - Real Time Strategy Company of Heroes - Real Time Strategy SHOGUN 2: Total War - Real Time Strategy Dirt 3 - Racing (Rally) FIFA 2012 - Sports (Soccer/Football) FPS that are good that I am going to recommend regardless Battlefield 3 COD4/MW2/MW3 Crysis 1/2

Skryrim. If you don't like FPS you may not like it because it's first person and there is combat, but the point of the game isn't entirely combat either. It's a truly excellent game though. Heroes of Might and Magic 6 is great, if you like turn-based strategy games! You may want to wait for Tomb Raider in the fall - Square Enix is "reenvisioning" the series. The graphics look gorgeous!

MAPLESTORY MAPLESTORY MAPLESTORY?? :PPPPP

If you want a non-FPS game that is fantastic and you can always come back to, take a look at Sacred 2. It's kind of like Diablo 2, but has amazing graphics. I'll admit I like Diablo 2 better, but S2 is a good benchmark for graphics. Here is a gameplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxlWkz3-qbs&hd=1
