Which is better, PS3 or Xbox 360 Elite?

This is like asking which is better, a Mac or a PC? The answer is...both, essentially. It really all depends on you: what types of games you like to play, what "live" type capabilities you desire, your price range, and what else you would like your system to be able to do.

I have a PS3 too, I think it's good to play games, but i like reading on it. The second hand products is very cheap on the market, it is not worth to sell it. And you really want to play live online for Xbox 360, so keep your PS3 then buy new Xbox 360 is good choice I think.

hardware wise they are even, the ps3 streams netflix, has the same online features etc as x box. the only difference i can tell is that ps3 online play is always free. so i would say no, its not a good trade.

Live is priced depending on the package. $50 for a year or $8 for one month. The year is the best deal. The Xbox has Netflix, and sometimes gets DLC early. But it has a habit of scratching discs if you move it while running. If all your friends play it, I suggest doing it. Besides, this year is a great year for Xboxes with Halo Reach, and next year GoW3, and whatever.

I wouldn't suggest doing so. Just buy one used on ebay or craigslist. I constantly see them going for $100-200. It just isn't worth giving up a PS3 for that. If you like the games for PS3, simply save up so you can have both. If you don't like the PS3 games, then go ahead.
