Why are my steam games so slow?

Why are Steam games running slow?

  • Honestly this is sooo annoying, everytime I load up L4D2, Killing Floor or even Team Fortress 2. Its all laggy and slow. Why is this? I've played these games in the past and they have worked perfectly but now all of a sudden they are running sooo slow they are practically unplayable. Please if someone can help it will be much appriciated. Thank you

  • Answer:

try looking for an update for your graphic card see if that works should be on the cards website, done it with me and see what happens, if not try unstalling a game (back up saves though) and re install them

This never happen to me, you must not have enough space. When you download Steam games, you are using massive gigabytes. Most games are 1.0 GB - 6.3 GB. I'm not sure what's your operating system is, but I think it's a windows vista. Go here if you want tt see the amount of space, then go to or whatever your directory leads to your computer: 1.) Press the Windows Button on the bottom-right 2.) You should see how much you have have at the HP (C:) If you have about a little space left, you should just delete some stuff you even use, besides games, or the games you don't play a lot.

Try ending any unnecessary processes in Task Manager. If that doesn't work, download Game Booster 3.0 at http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html. Or, if you're using a laptop, the battery might be bad.
