What are some fun and cheap/older xbox 360 shooters/action games that people currently play on xbox live?

Halo 3, Gears of War, CoD 4, Left 4 Dead, Battlefield: Bad Company, The Orange Box. All great games that people still play even though more games after most of them have come out. Pretty sure the sequels will cost a little extra, but you might be able to find them cheaper, which they'll most likely have more players.

Halo 3 or any call of duty 4-6 game. Call of duty modern warfare 2 is your best option right now. It kicks @ss!

Halo 3 for sure. People still play the hell out of that game. Lots are still playing COD 4 as well. Gears of War 2 is another one. You should be able to find all of those relatively cheap.

for 3rd person shooter you will want Red Faction Guerrilla it a very great game with a lot of people on it and its xrazy because there is no limit to what u can do you do what u want in story u pick the order u do missions in the multiplayer is awesome too u can break through wall everything is destructable and is just a great game overall also grab moderwarefare 2 also a great game just dont play team deathmatch as all it is is camping domination is fun tho but still a great game as well. borderlands is a good game too its like fallout 3 you get to choose a class for ex Siren,hunter,Berserker, soldier etc and you basicaly kill a lot of people doing missions and there are tens of thousands of weapons you will never use the same wep 2 times unless its maybe a rare boss drop
