What are some modern sad songs?

What are modern songs that make you sad/cry? (released after 2001)?

  • I'm interested in bands like OneRepublic, Fall Out Boy, Secondhand Serenade, Boys Like Girls, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, John Mayer, 3 Doors Down and etc. It would be great if the songs you guys suggest would fall into categories that these bands/musicians are in. :) Any sad songs that are very emotional would do. It doesn't need to be about love but it would be better if it was. :) Please, no screamo or metal. Thank you. :)
