Which would keep me happy the longest: Xbox 360 or PS3?

  • Should I sell my Xbox 360 S or keep? heres what I have for both consoles: Xbox 360 Slim black 250 gb --------------------------------------... 2 black wireless controllers wireless headset chatpad super street fighter 4 arcade edition call of duty black ops w/first 2 map packs halo reach PS3 slim 120 gb 2 wireless controllers tekken 6 little big planet modern warfare 2 dj hero okay 1 year ago i got the ps3 and i wasnt much of a console hardcore gamer. about 1/2 a year later i heard about halo and i wanted to play it really bad so i asked for a 360 for christmas. i got halo and black ops and i started becoming a more hardcore gamer and started playing a lot more. now im getting really tired of my xbox. i hate halo, black ops just pisses me off now online. i also realised many things after i got the 360 experience. i have about 3 friends that i actually play with on xbox and that stopped a long time ago. i dont have netflix, i dont have kinect and im not wasting money on playing soccer or running in my bedroom staring at a tv screen when i could live life and do that outside with friends and family.i dont use anything on xbox live other than playing online multiplayer. the 60 dollar fee is ridiculous when i could do what i do on xbox live on my ps3 for free. i also have WAY more friends on ps3. on ps3 theres the littlebigplanet games, uncharted almost everything xbox 360 has. i dont like gears of war, i hate halo, i dont like left4dead, and if there were any other exclusives that i would be interested in i wouldve known about them by now. ps3 wins in most arguments about exclusives. it has quality and quantity. now that i know more about this stuff i know that the ps3 has much more to do. 360 is more for accesories and downloadable games/content and ps3 is more for just playing games. what a game console is for.... the only reason i would keep the 360 is because of how little i would get from selling it or for playing with those 3 friends online lol btw one of those friends are my bestfriend and i dont think he would like it if i didnt play mw3 with haha so what should i do? and if u actually read all this then thx. no immature comments please

    First thing off the bat, please try to ignore the "fanboys" that are answering your question. Thats one thing I have to say. If they are siding with a console with no reasons, don't listen. Thats the first thing. Now my reasons: Well, before you sell your 360, I would recommend getting a little more games for it. Try Fable, Fallout, and maybe even buyin MW3 when it comes out. Believe me, PS3 and PC has much more hackers than Xbox, and we have more serious gamers. Yeah I will be honest... We do have a significantly large amount of babies and trashtalkers, but dont worry, you can mute them. The 360 also has a much better online service, where we get DLC's firstb4 anyone else. Thats for the 360. Now... Selling? Selling all that WILL give you a large amount of money. I can garantee you that you can get over $400 with that as long as you dont sell to Gamestop or Amazon. They prolly give you a unreasonable $100 with that, believe me. Try finding a good friend or a pawnshop, and they will pay good. But! Please try what I reccommended above. I Hope this helps

I would just keep it for the hell of it, that way if they came out with a game that was only on the xbox and not ps3 that you might enjoy playing for awhile, you wouldn't regret having to buy another xbox all over again. Yeah its probably like doing the same thing I do with my Wii, but so far I haven't seen any good games coming out for it, but I continue to hold onto it anyway just because I like playing games like Mario, donkey kong, and sonic sometimes. I would just think it over and decide what you really want to do.

Talk it over with your best friend and see what he says. If he doesn't mind and you're ok with owning the ps3 only, sell it. You can get a decent amount of money for it. Keep in the back of your head the issues the ps3 has had with it's online services recently though. As far as I know xbl hasn't had any problems like that so you may want to keep it to have a dedicated online console in case Sony were to drop the ball again. It's really all just your preference though.

Personally, I think the 360 is the best console of this generation. There are other games like Orange Box, Gears of War, etc...

C'mon. You know your Playstation is far superior to the X-Box. The X-box is a cheap unreliable piece of old tecknology. That hasn't been worth the price since the year it came out.

No one can really answer that for you but only give there own opinions. Personally i gave up with the ps3 when they got hacked. i like to know my details are safe and they lost my vote when they let there guard down with my private information... With the 360 the kinect is awsome i love the controls and everyone i knew was like me and had both consoles so i can still be in touch with just the 360...

Hmm, I mean if you keep the Xbox 360, you're getting the best of both worlds. You can get the video games that are exclusive for both. But uhm, if I was in your place, I'd sell one system. (You're selling the Xbox, but I would sell the PS3. Totally understand why you would though.) Then I'd put the money towards saving for other important things like a car.
