Why is my sims 3 so slow?

I have all the requirements to run the sims 3, Why does it run really slow?

  • Answer:

Requirements don't mean "it'll go perfect with these specs" they're just the minimum needed to run it. The better your computer, the faster it'll run.

Just because you have the requirments doesn't mean it will run perfect. If it's running slowly than you probably have the minimum requirments for the game. If you want it to run as fast as possible then upgrade your computer so that it has the very best graphic card, processor and as much ram as possible. If that doesn't work then it wasn't meant to be.

I have not seen the requirements for the game, but are you meeting the recomended requirements or the necesssary.

It's because you can run the game on the LOWEST settings. The LOWEST settings mean that the game runs but extremely slow.

You definitely need more RAM. 1.25 GB barely runs any new game. It may meet the requirements, but that doesn't mean it'll run well. Get at least 2GB of RAM; 4GB if you have Vista.

with all the times that i have played games its probably because you have the lowest needed requirements. for example if you don't have much hard drive space left over from the installation of the game it will get really slow. i recommend having over half your hard drive space left over. i know its a lot but its the only way to get games going fast. sorry!
