How do I get the game "Trainz: Driver" to run in windowed mode?

The manual "recommends" to not run in windowed mode, for performance reasons or something like that. But I want to try it and see how it does on my computer. The issue is...in the Options, there is no windowed/full screen mode to choose. The game automatically runs in full screen. The main reason why I want to run in windowed mode is because I multitask on the computer a lot (messengers open and chatting while playing a game, etc.). Using ALT + Tab to switch from the fullscreen game to the desktop so that I can see the other windows and programs...causes the game window and graphics on the computer in general to turn 'dark' when I ALT + Tab back to the game again. Including once I go back to my desktop after exiting out of the game, after it has turned dark. Window mode would allow me to not have to deal with the screen turning dark after the ALT + Tab. I've tried right-clicking on the icon on the desktop, and looking for an option to run it in windowed mode instead of full screen. However, the only options that I see are under the shortcut tab, under "run." The options are only 3: Normal window (which it is set to now), minimized, and maximized. How can I get this game to run in window mode instead of full screen?
