Why isn't my mic working?

Why my mic for ps3 isnt working good right now?

  • It worked 4 days ago which was last time I played, but I came on today and it is acting weird. By the way its a usb headset. I can hear people a little but not really so hard to hear. They can hear me thou cause I tested it with friend he said he hears me. My setting volume is how it always was and I tryed volume higher doesnt help. I did ps3 default settings then restarted settings and set my headset again but that didnt help. The place where you can test your headset it shows a bar with different colors when you talk. For me I hear some buzzing noise instead of me talking. But it only when I test it. Problem is I cant hear others anymore why? I tryed everything. Can anyone help me fix this?

    The USB headsets arent very good. The wires inside the headset can break easily and can ruin the hearing. Try unplugging the headset and plugging it back in, and if you see anywhere where the wire is strpped put tape around it. ALso try another USB port. If not just get a new headset

like the guy above me said Usb headset sucks cause they break really easy my friend right now has a usb headset and u cant hear other people he already broke 2 of them so i sugest to save up some money and but a Bluetooth Headset
