Where can i find free sims 2 custom content?

I can't find Sims 3 on my computer...?

• I just recently uninstalled Sims 3 Late Night (now I just have the base game, Ambitions, and a stuff pack). I cannot, for the life of me, find the actual program on my computer anymore! I checked the Add/Remove Program part of Control Panel, and it shows up there, so it's definitely on my computer. If I download a Sims3Pack file, the game launcher thankfully pops up and the game works fine, but it's a bit annoying to have to download a new file every time I want to play TS3. I have also searched on my computer for the game, but all that comes up is the game's document folder and some other random custom content files that are stashed on my computer. If anyone knows what in the world is going on here and how I could fix this (even just find a way to get the game's shortcut onto my desktop), it would be amazing. Thank you SO much!
