Sims 2 Double Deluxe doesn't work.

Sims 3 doesnt work on my computer!?

• i bought sims 3 as soon as it came out. but it didn't work on my computer. so i bought a new computer ESPECIALLY for the game. i installed it with no problem but about an hour into the game the screen went black and my home screen popped up. the game was not minimized or saved. i shrugged it off and continued to play. and then the time between start-up and shutdown became shorter and shorter. my friend has the same problem but hers is on a laptop. i have a byte speed computer with vista and windows 7. i was told that my computer would work with sims 3 and i ran a diagnostic on it and it said my computer was fine! PLEASE HELP!

  You should check the game disk from scratches and make sure to clean it really well. If that doesn't help try blowing into the slot where you place the disk, this gets rid of any dust or ect. that might be in the way. Also, you might want to delete some items on your computer to clear some room- it might allow the game to run more smoothly. Is the game for mac? I had a friend who managed to download the mac game onto her Windows and it didn't work after that. You might want to call customer service if none of this helps. Also, something could be wrong with your power connector to your computer. If something is bumped accidentally, the computer might log out of the game, preparing to shut down until the power is restored. Hope this helps.
