How do you make your own game to put on your website?

well i'm trying to make my own website and i want to put my own game i made myself on it for other to play, something to were i can make it from the ground up and edit it. to were i can make the graphics close to like 3d or something close to that kinda like imvu or like www.gaiaonline.com in the world on there. i've been trying to fined how to make the game to put on the website but so far only ppl saying to make a game on some site witch the games are just already set up, but i want to make it my own game or what not. i hope you get what i mean. well please help me >_<
